We are Yes focused.
Our Philosophy is a business person’s formula for success: Goals, Achievement, and Success! Decide what you want to accomplish and how it will be done, go out and do what is necessary to achieve your goals, and reap the rewards. It is founded on the cornerstones of any other success in life, with some industry specific advice. Create a Strategic Plan; stick with your Plan but be flexible; implement your Plan; realize that often, in business, that external growth is likely to be strategically superior and far less expensive than internal growth; know your Exit Strategy; and don’t overstay your welcome.
As with any other endeavor, the neophyte entrepreneur’s best way to have a million dollar company is to start with two million dollars! We meet many ten year, veteran neophyte entrepreneurs; seniority is a function of time, not knowledge or skill. There is a difference between longevity and success.
We look just as seriously at the owner’s/management’s personal situations. Getting control of personal income and expenses, protecting and growing assets, understanding the concept of net worth, using every tax advantage available to reduce or eliminate taxes, and finally, structuring the legacy for retirement and future generations.
These services are provided at the same ‘top of our game’ level, regardless of the size of the client’s company or balance sheet. That is why we have a selection process for potential clients, large and small. And yes, we do work with clients at all levels. It is desire and focus, not dollars, that determines results, and OUR results for you are all that really matters.
There are more potential clients than time available to properly advise and guide them, so we do turn away work. Much more than we accept. As in any activity in your business or personal life, YOUR motivation to succeed will continue to be the primary driving force. We bring expertise and focus and a Plan to the table. You bring desire and execution skills and the understanding that they call it ”the long run” for a reason.
One additional important philosophical point… we are YES focused. Speak with your accountant or attorney or other professionals, and as often as not, you’ll hear NO to plans, ideas, and strategies. It is the simple and safe answer to many of life’s questions; you do it with your children. And while some things DO require a NO, most ideas, acquisitions, new products, changes in direction, and ‘outside the box’ thinking should be responded to with a qualified, if not outright, YES. Yes, we can do that, providing… or yes, that IS possible, it will require you to do 1, 2, 3… Or simply, YES, let’s do it!
Once you see the possibilities and the obstacles, it will be up to you to make the final decision… but you will learn that a YES focused philosophy opens many more doors and opportunities than saying NO.
Finally, we subscribe to the philosophy that if we fish for you, you’ll eat as long as we keep fishing (and you keep paying us to fish), but if we teach YOU how to fish, and you learn, (it may take a little longer at first) then you can eat for a lifetime, whether we are around to help (and bill) or not. Our core services do include a mentoring and supervising function that may last for a few months, or a year or more, depending. Of course, if there is ever an issue in the interim, we are here to help you through it. After that, we simply want to be invited to the fish fry every year!
Quietly, discretely, and profitably for our clients. Our first mandate is to plan and guide our clients to achieve their goals. Our second mandate is to maintain our clients’ privacy and confidentiality. You won’t see glowing endorsements on this site from our clients. It is not very likely we will (or can) disclose references of most of our work. But, you HAVE seen it: companies focused on success, growing profitably, in successful ‘brands’, electronic/internet presence, in successful turnarounds, entrepreneurs who retire successfully and comfortably, and leave a legacy for future generations or others in their communities. We are successful in our work when our clients achieve their goals. It IS that simple.
