We have a number of clients who are seeking directories, titles that come out annually or bi-ennially (guides, best of, yearly reviews, etc), and/or reference materials that are updated regularly in editions (first, twelfth, twentieth). With a company of these materials, your sales would be at a small premium to market value. Individual titles will sell for full value (less obsolete inventory, of course). Automtaic research updating of editions is a plus. Sales history and marketing will also help in determining the final price. We have a client who has successfully marketed its line of professional dog books, in both ’show’ and ‘grooming’ categories, for many years. They are looking to expand through the acquisition of another company with complementary materials, or through the individual acquisition of lines or titles in these subject areas.
